You’ve probably (hopefully) never been quite so intimate with a bee as Fisher gets in these microscoped photos from her recently published book Bee, in which she reveals all the tiniest details of one of earth’s oldest living organisms. How tiny? Well, did you know that, magnified 3,300 times a bee’s antenna looks a lot like the Sea of Holes from Yellow Submarine? Or that magnified 330 times, a bee’s knee mostly looks like a spiky-haired mushroom? Surreally slick textures abound in the tight folds of the bee’s body.
