The first Ford painting we saw, from his Versus series, featured a self-portrait figure facing off, Street Fighter-style, against a giant fleshy monster with many gaping mouths spewing ghosts. Though the presentation is less overt, his latest surreal dreamscapes are still very much showdowns between opposing forces. And a new series of free-standing Tetris-like abstract sculptures fits in perfectly.
