It’s been six years since London legends Saint Etienne have played New York City—a torturous absence for one of pop’s most coolly metropolitan acts. Their newest record, Words and Music by Saint Etienne, is a particularly pleasing reason for breaking the fast. It’s as sharp and smart and slick and sweet as anything released in 2012.
