Santi Moix on Huckleberry Finn: Watercolors and Wall Drawings

Tuesdays-Saturdays. Continues through Feb. 11 2012
After riffing on Don Quixote in his 2009 exhibition, the New York-based Spaniard turned his attention to Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, whose epic American journey echoes the artist's own experience of immigration. The many massive lush watercolor and collage works, surrounded by even bigger murals, portray Huck's journey as simultaneously brimming with life and marked by many deaths.
