More and more it’s been feeling like bands are jumping right to playing really big rooms around the city on pretty thin résumés, sometimes with only a song or two to their names. And then they sell out, and we’re confused. With only a couple singles and a live EP so far, intense London post-punk band Savages might easily slide into the gripe, except that the stated point of their delay is to become a kick-ass live band before spending much time in the studio. By all accounts they are a totally kick-ass live band. So, hats off.
