People who work in offices get jealous of the free and easy lives of freelancing/part-time types who seem able to travel off to Spanish music festivals at the drop of a hat. Freelancing/part-time people envy office types their health insurance, their steady paycheck, and their outward appearance of grownup success. Well, obviously, everyone is wrong and everyone is right. We asked current and former creative office workers to share some of their thoughts on what they love about the office, what they hate and, in some cases, why they left.

THE BOOK PUBLISHING OFFICE: Cal Morgan, Nate Brown
THE ARCHITECTURE OFFICE: Chris Netski, Shannon Beauchaine
THE MUSIC INDUSTRY OFFICE: Patrick Amory, Jake Friedman
