After Arcade Fire's Funeral was released in 2004, we spent three months listening to nothing but. Then we spent three months trying to find a band that sounded like them. Shout Out Louds were the first we really got behind, mostly because there's that line from their song "Very Loud" — "And I want to build building high for you / But the costs, my god, the costs / I can't afford you." That's some romantic shit right there, of epic Arcade Fire proportion.
