Gowanus-adjacent gothic dance-theater troupe Company XIV revisits and re-imagines its wildly well-received 2009 adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale about the evil queen, the poisonous red apple, and the supremely fair damsel in deep-sleep distress. Creator-choreographer-director Austin McCormick deploys lavish costumes, reflecting pools and shadow plays to portray this dark (yet kid-friendly) adventure.
