Tame Impala’s 2012 record Lonerism was a confidently modern interpretation of vintage psychedelic rock ideas, sounding rich, dreamy and never far from its next eruption of powerful crunch. Live, Kevin Parker’s band translates the inherent bigness of their record’s songs admirably. Australian band The Growl precedes them, trying to fill Terminal 5’s metal cavern with their own bluesy guitar rock.
