If there’s one thing we like better than year-end best-of and worst-of lists (there are lots of things we like better, actually), it’s the chance to look back on the year that has passed us by, both with personal introspection and historical reflection. Winter is a time for solemnity, planning, and sounding well-informed at holiday parties. Plus, a lot of important stuff happened this year!
