12. Best Example of
Gentrified Perfection:

Wythe Street

(between Metropolitan and North 3rd,
Williamsburg)
At one end we have perhaps one of the better single lot pieces of riverfront condo in all of North Brooklyn, the easy-to-look-at Louver Building. Next door is the wonderful Zebulon, the platonic ideal of a thoughtful, painfully-cool-without-caring bar/music venue; next to that is, appropriately, a giant wheatpaste image of a businessman lamenting his drop in worth; then we have a surf shop on the corner! All of that sits across from a beautiful old diner that’s found new life as a high-end Mexican restaurant. And across from the Louver Building? Oh, a fancy vintage design shop that shares the building with fashion darling Hollander and Lexer. So much win.
