The Beatles Complete on Ukulele Festival

Sun., Dec. 6, 12 p.m. 2009; $10
718.963.3369

Over the next 12 hours music producer Roger Greenawalt will reproduce each of the 185 songs in the Beatles catalog on ukulele. We like this idea, so we're not going to question it. With help from co-organizer David Barratt, they've enlisted over 150 special guests, including Adam Green, Guster's Ryan Miller, the Van Allen Belt and 16 Yoko impersonators, to flesh out the sound. Things kick off with a mass mob rendition of "All Together Now" and "Why Don't We Do It in the Road" — anyone with a ukulele is encouraged to show up at 11am for "rehearsal." Merry Christmas, New York. (Note: Event has been moved from N8 to Brooklyn Bowl; check here for performer schedule and estimated timeline of songs.)
