#4 Brooklyn Winery “Orange” Chardonnay
This 2010 Chardonnay was made with Finger Lakes-region grapes and fermented in the Williamsburg winery. In a process similar to making red wine, Winemaker Conor Mc- Cormack let the wine ferment with no added yeasts in its Brooklyn environment. The result, as you’ll see when a new batch is released in June, is a fruity-tasting wine with a rich mouthfeel, made by a totally natural process that lets you truly taste Brooklyn.
From early Dutch settlers in the 1600s straight through to Brooklyn Brewery, Sixpoint and lots of exciting newcomers, New Yorkers sure have done a lot of drinking.
