Brooklyn gets the very first show of “The Breeders Play Last Splash” mini-tour, and it promises to be super sweet indeed. That ubiquitous 1993 album had several strange, sideways radio smashes that were surprising even in an era of really strange, sideways radio smashes. If you do some soul searching, look really deep into your reggae song, you’ll realize that Kim Deal and Co. are still the bong there, even 20 years later.
