Tirelessly providing its humble little stage as a platform for the emerging performing artists rehearsing in nearby lofts, the Starr presents its annual spring shorts festival, including everything from experimental theater, dance and puppetry to opera and multimedia performance. This year’s lineup includes local up-and-comers like Banana Bag & Bodice, Ephrat Asherie, Old Kent Road Theater, Chlöe Bass, Matt Brooks and Reggie Watts. Always an exceptional opportunity to get a glimpse of the next big forces in Brooklyn performance before they move onto bigger stages.
