WNYU DJ Maria Sherman put this killer bill together to celebrate her own birthday and force the indie-pop wallflowers of Brooklyn to look nice for a change. It features a set from recently MIA local heroes Pains of Being Pure at Heart, who seem to be plotting their return in earnest. Also, a touching sister reunion as Swearin’s Alison Crutchfield and Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield bring both of their bands to bliss us out on 90s alt-rock hooks. All that plus Weed Hounds and Potty Mouth, neither one too shabby.
