Surely it won’t be quite as crackling as the Mark Morris Dance Group’s just-closed reinterpretation, but the American Ballet Theatre is also premiering a new take on the E.T.A. Hoffmann tale including a live orchestra, over 100 dancers, and costume and set design by Richard Hudson, whose Tony-winning work on The Lion King is still roaring up a cash storm on Broadway.
