The Pains of Being Pure at Heart were so common a fixture for so many years around Brooklyn's venues that it seems like forever since the hometown heroes have graced us with their swooning style of indie-pop, even though they squeezed in a date or two just this past summer. Lingering hurt feelings from this imagined shunning are pretty much erased by the total freeness of the band's return show and the rock-solid lineup of local bands opening.
