The Danish band broke in at the beginning of this decade with an album easily slotted into the then-white-hot garage-rock boom; these days, the best moments of their jangly, feed-backed recent releases can give The Pains of Listening to Lots of Jesus and Mary Chain a run for their per diem. Basically, the shape-shifting, undergrad-trendy Raveonettes are the Urban Outfitters of bands, but, you know, the jackets and stuff there are inexpensive and often pretty nice, plus the stripped-down, echo-y cover of "My Boyfriend's Back" the Raveonettes did at the exact midpoint of their career is really, really perfect.
