Though the New York Neo-Futurists are constantly entertaining in their weekly residency at the Kraine Theatre for Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, we like seeing them in other settings too. Like HERE, where three women from the dynamic troupe (Desiree Burch, Cara Francis, Erica Livingston) perform a series of text fragments that they’ve either found or written–anecdotes, newspaper clippings, interview excerpts, circus routines–in and around a giant pot of soup. The recipe is a secret, the subject is the women’s movement, and the ingredients are always changing.
