Austrin six-piece The Strange Boys have won a sizable audience on the merit of their gritty but above-all melodic, 60s-style garage rock. They also scored a deal with Rough Trade Records, who are set to release their third full-length, which, assuming it contains even a handful of the tracks we saw them perform at the Northside Festival last week, will surely be among the year's best. They also have a saxophone player, which not nearly enough people have, even if there are music writers who swear up and down it's a legit trend.
