As part of the Guggenheim's 50th anniversary, they've put together a series called "It Came From Brooklyn." You know how much those Guggenheim trustees love Brooklyn. They'll be highlighting established and emerging talent from the Little Borough that Could over the next few months. Kicking things off are the Brooklyn Steppers Marching Band, L.A. transplants High Places and the Walkmen; funnyman Leo Allen hosts and novelist Colson Whitehead reads selections from Walt Whitman between sets.
