Though it’s tempting to lump The Wedding Present in with leagues of other alt-before-the-Internet acts of the 80s and 90s who’ve chosen to reform and cash in, they really never had that much time off. The 80s and 90s, obviously, were the most fertile time for David Gedge and co., but they’ve been at it steadily since 2004. They’ve got a new record out this month, called Valentina. The Wedding Present are just a working rock band. Lifers. Which is an even better reason to go show them some love, really
