As it turns out, this whole Tibet situation was not solved by the Beastie Boys long ago, as some of us had mistakenly assumed (but... but... those concerts ended? In victory?). This Tibet House benefit features an archly eclectic lineup, featuring not only Ira Glass’ famous avant-minimalist cousin, but husband and wife grump team Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed, experimental British soul-singer James Blake, and formerly ubiquitous ex-Roots beat-boxer Rahzel. This should do the trick, probably. Knocking on wood.
