Given how extensively she toured for her star-making sophomore record, w h o k i l l, we didn’t have much time to miss Merrill Garbus. But only a fool would complain about a visit from one of the most ecstatic live acts we’ve seen for years. (And we're no fools!) Though the presence of local multi-instrumentalist Delicate Steve is always a treat, the U.S. return of British avant-pop band Micachu & the Shapes is even more exciting. We can’t wait to hear some new proper songs from their follow-up to 2009’s excellent Jewellry.
