Just when you think Vampire Weekend’s chichi Upper West Side image couldn’t get any more intensely concentrated, they go and schedule a show supporting an Alan Alda Q & A. Respect. Featured together as part of a live CBC Radio program called “Q Live with Jian Ghomeshi,” the band will be previewing material from their impending third album, Modern Vampires of the City. Alan Alda could be talking about any number of things—M*A*S*H*, Woody Allen movies, etc.—but we sort of hope he gives an earnest account of what went wrong with Sen. Arnie Vinick’s presidential campaign on that last season of The West Wing.
