Who Was Your Worst Customer?

I’ve had so many assholes over the years I can’t even begin to tell you. A few people jumped out without paying, others just spend all their time bitching about politics. A good customer just stays quiet, doesn’t cause trouble, and tips well.

I don’t like the people who try and direct you. No matter how well I know the city, they all think they know things better. They think I’m trying to screw them if I go on a route that has traffic, or if I go on a longer route to avoid traffic. Then they want to not pay the full fare because of their complaints.

I remember one guy. It was him and a woman, his wife or girlfriend or something. He was on his phone for ages. While he’s talking she takes out her phone to call someone, and right after that the guy hangs up. Then he flips out on her for being on the phone, yelling and screaming at her, thinking she’s talking to some guy she’s fucking on the side. He was yelling so much he was spitting on the glass and I thought he was going to start punching her. I pulled over and made them get out. He didn’t want to and started screaming at me, but eventually he did. Of course, I didn’t get any money from him, but I don’t want people like that in my cab.
