Oy, you shouldn’t have asked me about politics! You’re not supposed to ask about politics; everyone just starts fighting. Customers ask if you like Obama, and if you say the wrong thing, they don’t tip you. I don’t want to talk about it. I can’t even vote! I will say this: no Anthony Weiner.
I don’t really follow politics. I don’t really care. I’d be fine with Bloomberg staying on, but he can’t. I haven’t really been following the election; I know Weiner is running, but he’s a prick. That Chinese guy [John Liu], but all I know about him is he has some kind of accounting scandal. My girlfriend really wants Quinn, mostly to have a woman mayor. Whatever. Works for me.
Mostly I’m just rooting for it to end so the news can talk about something else for once. I’m probably going to vote for Bill Thompson, but that might change. I voted for him when he ran against Bloomberg and liked him then. I need to actually sit down and check out everyone’s website or something. See what’s up.

I don’t know about the candidates, but here’s what I want: I want stop-and-frisk to end, and I want the schools to get better. Some of the schools here are falling apart. And I want rent to get cheaper, but I don’t think mayors have power over that like they do police stuff or school stuff. If I thought a candidate was actually going to do that stuff, I’d definitely vote for them. Right now they all seem the same.
