Is it fair to say that Woods' records are a little creepy? They are, right? Those psych-rock campfire songs leave you with an unsettling feeling, not to mention the dude's high-pitched, vocoded vocals and the floating eyeball motif on their album art. The thing is, Woods are also strangely uplifting, nailing an idiosyncratic sound that is solely theirs. Hopefully tonight they showcase a few new songs from their forthcoming album out in June.
