Last night we watched the documentary film Julie and Julia, from which we learned the future of food writing: peppy blogs about the exploits of attractive amateur cooks in New York, and subsequent blockbuster book deals. Then we realized that L Mag contributer Cathy Erway's blog, "Not Eating Out in New York," being the continuing adventures of a Brooklyn locavore, must surely become a book at some point — especially since she's appearing at this roundtable with whatserface, Amy Adams (actually, Julie Powell) and king-making Times food writer Amanda Hesser, among others.
