Yes, That John Norris
We are proud to inform you that, along with our regular crack team of music writers, John Norris — yes, that John Norris — will be coming on board to cover the Northside Festival for us. During his tenure at MTV, he interviewed everyone from Barack Obama to, well, practically every musician you’ve ever heard of — and he narrated True Life, which is the best television show of at least the last quarter century. His dedication to independent artists, as well as his continued ability to remain absurdly clued into the scene, despite having spent the majority of his career at a company that over time grew less and less willing to devote coverage to anything outside of major label-land, is admirable and, frankly, inspiring.
Over the next four days, he’ll be checking in with interviews and daily recaps of the shows he catches. We welcome him, and so should you.
