How would you describe your style?
I think my everyday look is that rock and roll look and that mentality. I don't like calling it 'rock and roll' but that's the closest thing I can identify with in terms of certain types of style, but I still like to make it my own at the end of the day.
Gaga? Love or hate?
It's just not my taste. She's a little too over the top I feel.
To quote Cher, are you picky about your shoes and the way they go on your feet?
I like the Cuban heel design for an ankle boot, for instance. But the rest is pretty standard, as far as wingtip shoes and Oxfords that I like. I don't like boots that are too pointed. They must have a soft edge in the end. I'm very particular, but it's very quick for me to see what I like and what I don't. I don't like open toe. I think I see every other shoe is open toe. There's something about it that won't stop.
Because they're slutty?
I don't mind sluttyness. I don't advocate it necessarily, but I mean, why not?
So would you say New York has had a big effect on your style?
A lot of my stuff comes from California. I was born in Orange County and lived for a year in San Francisco, where I met so many lovely and dear people.
Who would you like to dress like?
Mick Jagger, Bowie, Brett Smiley, Susie Sue. More rock and roll.
