Do you intentionally channel bohemian?
I don't like to dress extravagantly, I would describe it as more eclectic. Also, being Turkish influences my style in the jewelry department. I love ethnic fabric or textiles. I tend to dress colorful.
So you're an untraditional New Yorker in that sense?
Yes, usually I don't wear black.

What is your fashion secret that will no longer be so secret anymore?
I happen to wear a lot of vintage, because I'm a bit of a scavenger. I have a talent for it. I'm always bringing back things off the street. Fort Greene is where it's at. The Fort Greene flea market is great, but people have stoop sales where I find so many amazing things.
So besides off the street, where else do you gather clothing?
I got some really great hand-me downs from my aunt and mom. They had really cool fashion senses when they were younger.
Any tramp stamps?
Yes, one. I got it because im obsessed with Frida Kahlo and her last painting was "Viva la Vida" before she died. Even though it sounds cheesy and everyone thinks I'm referencing Coldplay, I live by that statement.
