Easily one of the most promising young experimental companies to come out of Brooklyn and make a mark on the Downtown scene in recent years; in the past the Debate Society worked with obscure legends from the 14th century texts by little-known artists forgotten by history but have recently begun composing their own texts from scratch (inasmuch as that is even possible). In their latest they continue to cast their gazes ambitiously far and wide with a set of five small, interconnected plays about a fictitious performance group trying to address the whole of existence in their work.
