Hey, so it’s hot, and that means it’s pretty much time to drink gin all day and all night. May I recommend a cocktail? The “Uncle Nam,” at Williamsburg “street” Vietnamese restaurant Silent(h) (seriously, that’s how they write it) is definitely the best thing on a pretty good menu. Basically, it’s a gin gimlet made with Vietnamese limeade, with a splash of bitters. The Uncle Nam is tart (but not too), fresh (but not too), and gets THE GIN INTO YOUR BLOOD REAL QUICK. It’s like getting those warm feelings when you sit on your uncle’s knee.
Who needs limeade? Just give me an IV of Beefeater.
