I’m calling it right now. 2010 is going to belong squarely to Brooklyn’s very own Yeasayer. Their new album, Odd Blood, isn’t out until February 19th, but the first single, “Ambling Alp,” was released this morning, and it is a monster. You want to play the “What other bands does it sound like” game? Sure, no problem: Animal Collective, Apples in Stereo and early Ted Leo (or Chisel, actually), and one 80s band in particular that I cannot place, and it’s driving me totally batty.
