In Which We Try Our Hand at Guessing the Tracklist for Pavement’s Greatest Hits Collection, Quarantine the Past

Word came this morning from Matador Records that they’ll be releasing a Pavement Greatest Hits collection on March 9th. It’s called Quarantine The Past (you can never!), and it contains 23 songs—three from before their Matador days, one compilation track and the rest from their official full-lengths, plus Watery Domestic. Matador’s running a “Guess the Tracklist” contest, and the first prize is a ticket to see the band at Central Park in September. Deadline for entry is January 19th. Should I do it? I should, right? Ok, sure.

We’ve already been told that the lead track is “Gold Soundz,” so after the jump, my picks for the other 22.

You’re Killing Me
Box Elder
Price Yeah
Summer Babe
Trigger Cut/Wounded-Kite At :17
Conduit For Sale
Cut Your Hair
Range Life
Stop Breathin’
Unseen Power of the Picket Fence
Rattled By the Rush
Father to a Sister of Thought
Western Homes
Shady Lane
Spit on a Stranger
Major Leagues
You Are a Light
Texas Never Whispers
Shoot the Singer

When I win, I will definitely give my ticket to one of you guys.
