Here’s a shocker for you, Williamsburg is the single worst neighborhood in all of New York City for sending in the census. I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest it has more to do with a combination of transient post-collegiate hipsters (and their dogs) and a large Latino population than it does with hardcore Tea Party paranoia about being shipped off to internment camps (god, I wish).
Way to go my neighborhood! Screw the gubmint!
