Jay-Z and Eminem Performed on Letterman’s Roof

After plans for a surprise Jay-Z performance atop the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee were aborted last week, thanks at least in some part, presumably, to the Drake Seaport debacle, Jay set his sights even higher: the roof. Yesterday afternoon, he performed for 100 lucky contest winners on the roof of the building that houses the Ed Sullivan Theater. He was joined by Eminem, who later played his own secret show at Bowery Ballroom. The Letterman taping will air on Friday, but you’ll have to DVR it because you’ll be at Northside.

  • We should get Em and Jay to play the Music Hall rooftop during Northside! That should be easy to do, right?
