More on this album when it’s released next week, but in the meantime, head over to NPR and stream Destroyer of the Void, the absolutely crazy new album from Portland’s Blitzen Trapper. It’s their first album since the outstanding Furr from 2008, and it’s even more adventurous: pop, country, folk and prog are represented, often in the same song, and often simultaneously, by different instruments. It’s strange and unsettling, but an awful lot of fun. And seriously, they’ve probably never even heard of truffle fries.
