The new insanely good Deerhunter single, “Revival,” hit the blogosphere earlier this week, so it’s been a day or so since we’ve heard from Bradford Cox. We were starting to worry. Today we get another tidbit from him though, in the form of a trendy-as-ever trailer for an upcoming concert film directed by John Albrecht, an apparent enthusiast of high-impact drumming and dramatic lighting. It’s got us giddy for the band’s free show on August 12 at Hudson River Park with Real Estate, hopefully a sneak peek to Halcyon Digest before its release on September 28 via 4AD.
