The long-awaited return of The Coolest Band on Earth is inching closer, at least probably. In an interview with Zane Lowe of the BBC (listen here around the 1:24 mark), Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture nonchalantly confirms that their yet-to-be-titled fourth LP is indeed recorded, currently being mixed, and, if all goes according to plan, headed towards a March release, just in time for the summer festival circuit. Hell, seeing as Madison Square Garden became the hot indie club last year, maybe we could even expect a stint there(?!), though an even more thrilling prospect: What if The Strokes are this year’s Hole at SXSW? How hot would they be in those leather jackets?!
