The L: But a song starts with a feeling rather than a phrase, say?


KB: Generally. It’s tough to even draw a line between a language and a feeling, because all of our experiences are filtered through language.


AN: The lecture begins…


KB: No, it is. You can’t separate. Unless you’re a pre-evolved creature.


The L: So, about some specific lyrics—can you tell me the top three things the body is for?


KB: A wonderland. Shots. And to lean on. “Everybody needs somebody to lean on.” The Traveling Wilburys.


The L: What about elaborate sushi displays?


KB: I enjoy eating sushi, but with all-you-can drink sake. Not on bodies.


AN: That’s not what the body is for.


KB: That’s what a plate is for.
