The last time Brooklyn-based crochet street artist Olek wrapped a New York City public sculpture in her neon-toned knitwear, she made the Wall Street Bull the ultimate ugly Christmas sweater. But as one Twitter user noted this morning, she’s gone abstract in Astor Place, wrapping Tony Rosenthal‘s “Alamo” in her trademark pink and purple camouflage. Assuming the fabric doesn’t impede the sculpture’s ability to spin, this must be the most profoundly disorienting sight. (BoweryBoogie; Photo: Twitter)
