One time, a certain member of the L Magazine staff saw Annie Clark in person, on the L train, no less, and she was so awe-struck by her presence that she felt the need to apologize to her via Twitter for probably creeping her out. Last night, in continued support of the excellent Strange Mercy, she (Annie Clark and St. Vincent, not said L Magazine staffer) played Webster Hall, and we sent photographer Nadia Chaudhury’s to document it. Something tells us you’re going to be hearing more and more about St. Vincent when it comes time for everyone to start churning out their year-end lists.
We need to talk about the cover of “She Is Beyond Good and Evil.” I want an album of that, wow.
