2. L’Age D’or at Anthology Film Archives
Revisit The Golden Age of surrealist film in this 1930 experiment by Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali (the same team who sliced eyeballs in Un Chien Andalou). It’s a rare opportunity to view the first full-length film of Bunuel’s on the big screen, which was banned in Spain at the time of its release and wasn’t shown in the United States until 1976 since its first screening at the Museum of Modern Art in 1933. Find out why cows are sexy and plot lines useless all over again.
L’Age Dor plays Saturday, May 26 at 4:15pm at Anthology Film Archives.

3. Last Weekend of the Whitney Biennial
The 76th Biennial exhibit at the Whitney runs through May 27th, so now’s your last chance to check out what the museum has curated as the latest and greatest in American modern art. Take a free tour or catch a performance from one of the featured artists through Sunday, and see what critics are calling a move toward installation and performance-based work from this exhibit.
See calendar of events and info at Whitney.org.
