When we were putting this together, at one point we stopped and said, “you know what? This is going to be our best Best of Brooklyn ever.” As corny as that sounds, it’s true. Though we do one of these every year, we work hard year-round to experience everything we can in the borough, and we’re getting better at it all the time: which writing workshop’s worth taking, which website’s worth reading, which candidate’s worth supporting, which fire hydrant’s worth running through, which record’s worth listening to, which pizza’s worth smelling, which documentary’s worth watching—and, just how many penises can BAM fit on its stage?
