Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain: Kevin Hart has become a stand-up phenomenon, with his concert film Laugh at My Pain finding surprise limited release success and his tours selling out large venues around the country—including Madison Square Garden, which is the location of this newest concert film. The trailer maybe oversells it a bit, playing up the messianic overtones of a stand-up who can fill MSG and then remembering to show some footage of Hart doing comedy, almost as an afterthought. From what I’ve seen Hart, is a terrific performer whose material doesn’t always match the strength of his delivery—but probably makes for more a cinematic subject of a stand-up concert film than most.
