You’re asking a guy with a “Legalize It” tat, so what do you think? Of course we should! We should’ve done it years ago. It should never have been illegal in the first place. The only reason it’s illegal now is people don’t know what they’re talking about, and they spread all this fear about gateway drugs and whatever. You would think everyone who grew up in the 60s would be for making it legal; I don’t know why it’s taken this long for it to not be death for politicians to support.

I do, but I got a buddy in Colorado, and he said he’s spending a lot more money on it now that it’s legal. That concerns me. I smoke a couple of times a week, but always in my apartment where I’m not worried about the cops busting in. I pay enough already, and I don’t know how much more I could stand to pay if it’s more expensive when it’s legal, especially with taxes and all that. There might still be dealers if it’s legal.

Well, I don’t smoke pot, but I don’t know why it should be any different than booze. The most legitimate complaint I’ve heard, especially for someone in my position, is that people are dangerous if they smoke and drive, but we already have laws against drinking and driving, so what’s the difference? I think potheads are annoying, and I wouldn’t want a bunch of stoners in my cab all the time, but that’s no reason to keep it a crime.

Absolutely! Listen, the police have better things to do than deal with pot dealers, and there are way too many people with records because of dumb pot crimes. I’m a big hippie, so obviously I want it legal for me, but even my dad wants it, and he’s the biggest Republican. Like, he voted for Bush twice, ugh. But legal weed means the government can save money by not prosecuting people, plus you can tax it and use that money for something useful like schools. Buy weed to help schools! I’d do my part.
