Produced twice a year by Jason Andrew with the assistance of an outside curator, Beat Nite is a latter-evening tour of a select set of Bushwick art spaces. It is also, always and invariably, one hell of a hearty art party. Curated by Austin Thomas, Beat Nite 10 took place this past Friday and featured 10 spaces. Frigid temperatures notwithstanding, the turnout was robust. It was a blast.
Our documentarian for the evening was Maureen Drennan, a Brooklyn-based photographer whose work has been featured in the New York Times, The New Yorker and ARTnews, among many other publications, and in scores of exhibitions.
Thanks, Maureen. Thanks, Jason. Thanks, Austin. Thanks, all featured artists and spaces. And thanks, of course, Bushwick.
